Canyonville ‘Seven Feathers Rally’ 2017

NWTFC

Seven Feathers Rally
Canyonville, OR
 August 22-25, 2017

Checking out the rigs!

Another fun and exciting rally was held at the Seven Feathers RV Resort with twenty-seven rigs attending. The RV park had many amenities to include a club house for our use, concrete pads with full hook-ups, green grass between the sites, a shuttle to and from the casino and town, and the casino across the freeway.

Irva and Gary Cooper were the wagon masters with Helen and Ken Anderson supporting them. Irva, “The Energizer Bunny”, always plans for a fun and memorable rally. One evening we played bingo followed by a raffle. Many of the raffle items were provided by the members and Irva had collected other items during the year of their travels around the U.S. Enough money was collected from the raffle tickets that 4 bags with $75 each were awarded! It was a fun evening and we all enjoyed ourselves.

Breakfast by Gary

Every morning we gathered for breakfast in the club house. The breakfast “treat” of peach, strawberry, and blueberry yogurt waffles (Gary’s specialty) accompanied by sausage links was a real hit. Many people helped by bringing their waffle irons. The night of arrival a dinner of lasagna, spinach salad, and garlic bread was served. The casino was also popular place to meet for a meal.

One evening some of the members attended a concert in the park at Myrtle Creek. Other members visited sites around the area. Staying at the RV park and spending time with NWTFC friends is always a favorite way to spend the day.

Dick and Nancy

Robert Henderson presented a seminar on “Safe and Happy RV Driving”. Robert, Barb, and their crew offered a complementary inspection of our rigs. They also weighed both the RV and the tow car if requested. Although they were very busy during their time at the rally, they took time to treat everyone to ice cream which was a treat. Thank you Hendersons!! We all benefited from your expertise and generosity.
